If you have been using the tall grippers that I sell you may have had occasion to damage one or more of the pressed-on sleeves that hold the wood and prevent damage. I now offer the sleeves that you can press on after removing the damaged sleeve.
NOTE: This offer is for the full set of 8 sleeves. If you need fewer sleeves it may be better for you to see my other offer where I sell them one at a time.
To remove the original sleeve it may be necessary to cut it off. Just carefully slit the sleeve lengthwise and it will release its grip and allow you to pull it off. To press on the new sleeve you can use a drive socket that is just about the same diameter as the sleeve. Start the sleeve on the core by hand first, then align the socket with the open end towards the sleeve and while holding them together put them in a vise and carefully press the sleeve on the rest of the way. The last 6 photos show the sequence. The open area of the socket will allow you to "over press" the sleeve on which will tightly hold it on the core. That's all there is to it.
