“Quadrant” measures 7 inches in diameter and 4 ¼ inches tall. This is the result of wanting to try a new design to “see what happens”. The result is just as striking as I’d hoped, but it was also very challenging. There are several different species of wood in this piece, both exotics and domestics. The top ring is segmented on an angle with contrasting veneer between the segments.
The last few photos are of some of the process that went into the creation of this piece.
