Segmented Wood Turned Bowl – “Extra Credit” – Inserts within Inserts 27-18

“Extra Credit” is a segmented turning and my first with inserts within inserts. It measures 7 ¾ in diameter and is 4 ¾ inches tall and has a satin polyurethane finish.
As the photos show this is a beautiful bowl and shows beautiful grain of oak, black walnut and rosewood. It also has layers of thin veneer between several of the layers. The dots on the rim are of black walnut with a maple core.
To help you get a feeling for what goes into the making of such a piece I’ve included a few photos of its construction. A bowl like this takes about 2 weeks to produce. I hope you feel it deserves a place in your home.
