This stopper features a stainless steel body with Cocobolo top. The wood is finished with a buffed Carnauba wax finish that only needs a wiping off with a damp towel to keep clean. You can restore the finish with any high quality furniture polish or wax.
Unlike most bottle stoppers this one will stand up on its top, keeping wine stains off your table cloth and also keeping the end clean. It is just over 3 inches tall. Since it will only stand a little over 2 inches higher than your wine bottle you should still be able to put the capped bottle on the refrigerator shelf.
