“Keystone” is made of segmented design with the primary woods being red oak padauk and black walnut. The top lip has an insert of alternating layers of maple and ebony. This bowl recently took an Honorable Mention in a local art gallery show.
Keystone measures 7 ¼ inches diameter and is about 3 ¼ inches tall. The black walnut base is air dried with both heartwood and sapwood, giving a beautiful contrast.
Like my other turnings, this is signed and numbered. Each item is recorded in my log book so I can always confirm that I made a particular item. Remember, you can click on Zoom in the images in the ad to see an even larger image of the bowl.
